Royalty-Free Stock Images

Purchase Dustwood Media's royalty-free stock images for commercial, business or personal use.

I'm in the process of doing a major upgrade to this website.  When done, I will have at least 17 different categories available.

Meanwhile, to give you a sampling of stock photos, there are two categories currently on-line:

1. Animals
2. Scenery

Downloading Images:

• Micro Stock images must be purchased.  To purchase an image, click on its "Add To Cart" button, then click on any "View Cart" button to check out.  After you have checked out you will be redirected to a page with download links for each item, and you will also receive an email containing the download links.  Links are good for 24 hours.
• ALL IMAGES are copyrighted.  Stock images are available by royalty-free license.  See below for more details.

When you purchase a stock photograph, you are actually purchasing a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free lifetime license to edit and use that image for business, commercial, or personal purposes.

• "ROYALTY-FREE" and "LIFETIME" mean that you don't have to pay any extra fees (royalty fees) for use - you just pay once for the image, no matter how often or how long you use it.
• "NON-EXCLUSIVE" means that any other person or company which buys the image has the same reproduction rights.
• "NON-TRANSFERABLE" means that only the person or company who bought the image has the reproduction rights - the purchaser cannot sell or give away those reproduction rights to anyone else.
• "EDITING AND REPRODUCTION RIGHTS" means the purchaser (you) has the right to change and use the image for personal, business, or commercial purposes, such as printing the image on greeting cards or other products which you sell.

All royalty-free stock photo downloads include a zipped TIF file at 250ppi or greater, which is suitable for print use.  TIF files are formatted to print out to a maximum page size of 8 1/2 x 11" (allowing 1/2" margin on all sides).  Some images are smaller - check the "printed size" information by each image to be sure.  At present, all scenery photo downloads also include a 72ppi JPG of the image for online use.

Feel free to download the watermarked sample JPG files of stock images, so you can get a better idea of the image's suitability for your use.

Dustwood Media will soon be offering free downloads of clip art and Christian wallpaper.

Clip art images are artwork and graphic images, usually small, and formatted at 72ppi for online use only.  Clip art will display well and load quickly online, but is not suitable for printed materials.

Wallpaper images are 72ppi images, 1152 x 864px, so they will scale properly to any standard-size monitor.

When you download a free image, you are licensed to use that photo under a Creative Commons BY license.  That means that you are free to share (to copy, distribute and transmit the image) and to remix (to adapt the image) under the following conditions:
Attribution - You must attribute the image by giving credit to the original creator of the image, Jeri-Lynn Woods, in writing.  The attribution must be where it can be easily found and read by anyone viewing your use of the image.  (You may not, however, suggest in any way that Jeri-Lynn Woods endorses you or your use of the image).  This can include adding a credit line to a printed work, or a link to this website (www.dustwood-media.com) for an online work.  If you aren't sure about how to meet the requirements of the license, please email me.
